Who We Are

Who We Are

Meet the founder

I’m Matthew, I am a high school student and my goal is to help individuals in rural areas gain access to the same resources and opportunities as others in urban areas. I am very passionate about this topic, so I have decided to create a website to help reach my goal. In many areas, especially China, individuals are not able to gain access to essential resources and opportunities. This is a very serious issue, but you can help stop this by donating.

My story

I am interested in this topic because I want to help people who aren’t born in situations that were as good as mine and I believe that everyone should have equal access to resources and opportunities . When I was in middle school, my teacher would show me a video of how in certain areas of the world, some households aren’t able to make enough money. I learned that many individuals in China have hard times getting shelter and education. Later, at home,  I did some more research on individuals living in rural parts in China and found out that many were living in extreme poverty. Proper education was very hard for the children in rural areas to have and many individuals had a very hard time when facing disasters due to a lack of funding. Even though the Chinese government has tried to help this issue in rural parts of China, many individuals still face hardships. I wanted to do something about this and I thought that building a website would be a great way to make an impact since I am very interested in computer science.

Our Target

Some of the areas that we are raising money for is in the Hubei and Shanxi Province. Through the Red Cross in China, the raised funds will be used to support multiple educational initiatives, including developing and providing resources for innovative teaching methods, supplying necessary educational materials and technology, training local educators, and creating better learning environments in rural schools. Additionally, these funds will help in building and improving school infrastructure, offering financial assistance to students in need, and organizing community-based programs that provide nutrition support to students in need. In addition to the academic improvements, when needed, the funds could also be used to support disaster management initiatives including food aid, emergency rations, and shelter management.
